It Won't Come Back Until Midnight

Good story; but just one question: the villianess' father (according to her) was a slave trader; (a business, which, as I understand it, ended in 1865!) Yet this story, I think, was set in the 1950's! *Just how old is this chick*?)

You can tell by the orange skeletons and the sunset people and the psychedelic yellow vertigo that it must be nearly Halloween!

Do you think the incredible glut of stories about people who will do almost anything to achieve home ownership is a lingering effect of the Great Depression? Do you think the current economic crisis will cause another era of stories fixated on homicidal opportunists looking for an estate?

In an ongoing attempt to avoid getting spammed to death like I have been recently, I accidently adjusted the comment settings the other day incorrectly and now no comments are coming through. If you have tried to leave a comment in the last few days and it hasn't shown up, please try again as I believe it is now fixed. Thanks, and sorry for the inconveniance!

I tried to say yesterday that the villianess in this piece said (*I Believe*) that her father had been a slave trader. Given that the (officiai) slave trade ended here in the US in *1865* and this story, (also as I understand it ) was set in the 1950's; *just how old is this lady and she has certainly aged well*!)

Interesting. Even though my comment has gone down the housecleaning sinkhole never to be remembered, I am still subscribed to this post. I get the other comments in my inbox, but mine--apparently waiting for your own approval, Karswell, somewhere on the dark side of the internet--did not. Wonky.

Mine wasn't much of a comment, though. I appreciated the sunset colored people, the psychedelic yellow vertigo, and the orange skeleton. Halloweeny! I wondered if this fairly standard comics storyline--people who will go to criminal or supernatural lengths to get a house--was some kind of depression-era holdover. That was all.

Damn it! The dark side of the internet just ate my second try at a comment here. I think this last time it was my own fault, though. A synopsis:

Sunset colored people. Psychedelic yellow vertigo. Halloweeny orange skeleton. Standard depression-era desperate homelessness plot?

Nah, you're good Mr C, I have it set now where comments will simply have to be approved by me first before they get added... this will remove pointless spam in the comments. Thanks!

Good one, Trev!

Yay! At last every version of every comment has finally come through! Now some of us (me) look like particularly nutty lunatics. Did I mention the orange skeleton? Okie dokie!
