Thank you very much, dear Doctor!
Again a most beautiful scan by one of Ace's great artists: Louis Zansky.
I made a count by the way and linked 66 Ace stories back to THOIA.
So when visiting ACE HORROR! you'll always return here.
Takes a bow:
Your partner in horror.

"You... er... must've been mistaken, Vince! Or maybe the blade turned aside at the last moment! Anyhoo, I - I'm not hurt!"

How many times have I heard THAT before??

Bondage, anyone?

Great art, but that last page looks awfully rushed. "Omly an hour left, and I've got to deliver this turd!"

For a minute there I was worried that fat-cat corporate oil interests might somehow end up getting punished for their actions here. But naw. This company had the forethought to hire a womanizing buffoon to act as a scapegoat. Whew.

And what a buffoon! Dig the crazy imagination on that disappearing ghost lady. Baby, you can't go out in public like that--you've got some evil on your face. Well, I guess vampires are in the headlines often enough that it *could* be a coincidence. A guy like that has so many comeuppances coming up that it's a damn shame that all he did was fall off a slippery rig.

"...evil must now go through to their horrible finish! You cannot prevent it!"

Uh, yes he can, and had a pretty good plan! The rope was a start, but it he build a safe room, he'd be as good as gold!

It's your interference that's screwing it up!

And I can't tell you the number of times I've said "I'm getting confused -- sleepy -- weak-willed!"

AIEEEEE!!!

>How many times have I heard THAT before??

Only everytime I marry a reincarnated horror.

>guy like that has so many comeuppances coming up that it's a damn shame that all he did was fall off a slippery rig.

Haha, yea... where as the ironical twist ending? The only jolt ending we got from this one was by suddenly getting jilted by the lack of irony!

>can't tell you the number of times I've said "I'm getting confused -- sleepy -- weak-willed!"

Tis sad but true... I'm about to say it right now myself but I got a couple blogs to update!

Thanks for the comments, and kudos again to Space Lord's kick ass new Ace site!
