I love stories of supernatural vengeance, and what better vengeance than to skin Nazi torturers alive? So the first one is top notch. The second is cool, too, but kinda odd. What's the nature of those ghosts, are they corporeal or incorporeal? It appears that the brunette is the only decent character (I mean, not evil), aside from the ghost hunter of course. This I like.

Ghost Gallery reads like a 40s comic. The ghosts are nothing more than super villains with bizarre and inconsistent power sets (bullets pass through them but they can hold objects and they themselves can't pass through walls.)

I do like how about everybody in that story was sort of reversed; our hero had nothing to do with the story, except being there, the ghosts had every right for revenge, and everybody killed deserved it. That's a 40s super hero story in a nutshell!

I don't know why, stories like that should bug me for all the problems but they always end up being charming, and usually pretty fast paces. The splash is great, too.

Had the voodoo collection on pre-order forever, I'm all ready for my page after page of unnecessary circular panels :)

I agree with Mr. Barnes about the slash on the second story. It's totally wonderful. The whole story is! I dig how we have eight pages of a highly convoluted, extraordinarily melodramatic ghost revenge scenario--plotting so thick that confusing, rapid-fire exposition crowds the figures out of the frames sometimes--even as the story still finds time for a languid, four-panel car crash. I mean, that's nearly enough for an animated flip-book! "Well here comes my crash." "Well, best prepare to jump now." "Man, jumping's hard work. Better rest." "Wow, look at my car flying off the cliff!" I mean, yeah, I get it! This is a heart-stopping turn of events for our good guy. They blew up Sonny Crockett's Ferrari in slo-mo, too.

Can't wait to pick up the new hardbacks!

It isn't much of a complaint, but this story has almost too many characters to keep up with, almost like a soap opera (although I had a headache before reading it, so for me it might have just SEEMED like a lot of characters to keep up with).

The femme fatale on the cover is a blend of horror and beauty, the type of girl your folks warn you about. The cover ghoul made me think of Fantomah since both have an unforgettable face, one you can't forget easily.
